Planning For Technology
Technology planning is the process of determining how your organization can best use technology to further your mission. The process of technology planning involves assessing your existing resources, defining your needs, and exploring solutions. A successful planning process will draw on management support and the leadership of a technology team made up of a range of staff members to provide input. It will help you budget for technology and make cost-effective purchases. The first outcome of the planning process is a written technology plan which outlines the phases of technology development, and can also be used as a key tool to advocate for technology funding. Before you begin the planning process, it's a good idea to assess your existing technology resources. Technology Literacy Benchmarks is a comprehensive assessment tool for evaluating your organization's technology savvy. It covers all aspects of technology in nonprofits organizations, including a section on technology planning. Its well worth the time to work through the entire assessment, but it's also useful if you just complete the section on technology planning benchmarks. If you don't already have a plan, it will give you a peek at what's in store. If your organization does have a plan, you can see how your organization compares to the best practices.
I was very disappointed with myself and how I went about with this particular subject. I enjoyed trying to learn new things and the fact that I was able to complete it. This is a learning process in the field of technology for me and with Google slides; it will help me to do presentations much better in the future.
For the topic, research is thoroughly done before I do the actual assignment. This way I understand the lesson and have a deeper understanding of the lesson. My mindset on technology has changed, causing me to practise what I learned but isn’t that the purpose of it? Though I was still confused about how to go about posting on the page, I eventually got the guidance from my mentor, ask and it shall be given, this was something I learned on that day. My punctuality can be improved and it could be my downfall. There were a few obstacles to cross but all is to be well from now on. I often feel anxious about all the things I know I need to do at some point. I need to write them down somewhere so I don't forget them, otherwise I worry about when or if they will get done. But I don't want those items cluttering up my list for today; that will just make today seem even busier than it already is.
The Lesson was one of the most difficult assignments that I have ever done so far. It was complicated to me. Had a very hard time trying to understand the body of the work itself. I believed that I needed an easier one to do, as I was unable to give twenty slides for the presentation.
My solution is to make a big list of everything I need to do. Then, every night, I move a few things to my to-do list for the next day. The whole idea of working smarter rather than harder stems from the fact that many of us put in more and more hours only to find we don't get more done. That's why I want to find methods to be more productive in less time.
One way to do this is to adjust the way I measure productivity. If you evaluate yourself by what you actually get done rather than the time it takes to get something done, you'll start to notice a difference in how you work.
I also noticed that there wasn’t really much to reply on other student’s work, due to a lack of participants, I myself fell short on some of the work that was to be done.
As the global community continues the transition from an industrialized factory model to an information and now participatory networked-based society, educational technology will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their futures. Many teacher preparation programs are failing to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to adopt and utilize technology effectively.
Research is the number one reason to utilize technology. Students and educators have a wealth of information available to them. Making this information available through the use of varied technological avenues allows students and educators to expand their educational experiences and more effectively meet the curriculum standards and learner outcomes of each lesson, unit, or activity. It is our hope you enjoy this learning event and are now better enabled to integrate the many techniques and strategies for teaching technology into your classrooms.
